The priestess is not only a historical and religious figure -- she is also an immensely powerful archetype of female spirituality which is presently resurfacing full force in the lives of contemporary women. When a woman claims her inner priestess and begins to live from that center of power, she reconnects with a wisdom that is ancient, radically transformative, healing, joyous, and life-affirming. "A woman who knows the priestess within knows her own worth," says Jalaja. "She moves beyond the confines of organized religion to find the source of spiritual authority within."
Herself trained as a temple dancer in India, Jalaja has an extraordinary ability to lead women into sacred space-space consecrated to spirit and to the care of the soul -- within which women can dive deep and connect fully with their inner authority and authenticity. In this workshop, we will explore what it means to walk the path of the priestess in the context of modern life, and how to do so with integrity, grace, and joy. Ritual, movement and dance, storytelling, creative writing, poetry and communion with nature-all skills of the ancient priestesses-are essential elements of the process.
